Lions QB Stanton out month with thumb injury (AP)

Detroit Lions reserve quarterback Drew Stanton is expected to miss the first two games of the regular season after spraining his thumb in practice. Stanton is Detroit's third-string quarterback behind Jon Kitna and Dan Orlovsky. He was injured Thursday and is expected to be in a cast for four weeks.
